UK Tourist Attractions
Throughout the year UK tourist attractions play host to a number of visitors except on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when big celebrations are held throughout the United Kingdom.

The tourist attractions in the UK are open mostly every day. Some of the tours cost money while there are free tourist attractions in the UK as well which are worth visiting anytime of the year.

Trafalgar Square commemorating victory in the Battle of Trafalgar against Napoleon is the most famous square tourist attraction in London, England. Nelson’s Column, 18 feet tall and resting atop a 183 feet column and a number of other touristic monuments can be found in the Trafalgar Square. The square is however, more renowned for its pigeons. Almost all tourists like to spend time feeding the pigeons of Trafalgar Square.

Hyde Park, the largest of parks in London covering an area of 608 acres offers a range of activities to the tourists. What is most likeable is that the beauty of the park can be enjoyed completely free of charge. Fees are however charged for concerts. The entrance to the park is a majestic sight by itself stretching 107 feet made up of intricate stone work. Rowboats can be hired between March and October at the Serpentine Lake making it another prominent tourist attraction of Hyde Park. Most visitors are also excited about the equestrian adventure on the 1 ½ mile sand riding track in the nearby Rotten Row. It is certainly one park where tourists will remember their picnic for a long time spent in the beautiful surroundings of nature.

A chief tourist attraction in UK in recent times is the Edinburgh International Festival, held each year between August and September. Held for three weeks, it is an exciting event which becomes a hub for culture, theatre, dance and music making it one of the most renowned arts festivals in the world.
