Federer to the U S Open final
The US open final is coming to its end, having a long road to walk before getting to where they are two of the best tennis players in the world will have a hard job trying to stand against each other to become the champion.

After defeating the Russian Mikhail Youzhny, Andy Roddick is ready to face Roger Federer for the US Open Title.

"If the guy plays too well, then he plays too well, but I'm not gonna lay down. I'm gonna go out there and try to win the U.S. Open." Roddick said of Federer.

On his side, Federer advanced earlier on Saturday after defeating Nikolay Davydenko, obtaining with this victory, an Open Era-record of sixth consecutive grand slam finals; this also made him the sixth man to reach all four Grand Slam finals in a calendar year and only the second man in the Open Era, following Rod Laver.

While the Australian Laver won all four, Federer is chasing his third success of the year as he lost the French Open final to Nadal last June.

"You know, I've had some tough matches with Davydenko, I've lost a set on four occasions, I think, at the Australian Open match this year, was really closer against him, so I expected something similar. But I came out, played really well and I hope I can keep it up for one more match now." Federer said.

Davydenko had to admit that the Swiss star was just to fast for him, nothing like the slower-pace off match he faced against Haas in the previous round.

"The quarterfinal was too slow, today was completely different. He tried to play fast to the right and left. That was difficult for me running for the ball. Today was too fast for me." Davydenko said.

When asked if he thought Federer had some weaknesses on his game, he responded: "Right now, no." Just a 26 hour resting period will have Federer before returning to Ashe on Sunday afternoon for the final.
