Everybody keeps approaching me and asking whether I’ve got a Pacman, but let me tell you that a pocket pc is more than a gameboy. I use it to store phone numbers, write and send and email and so much more.
A pocket pc is in fact a Personal Digital Assistant. It all gets down to a handheld computer, with an operating system and all! The 2 operating systems that can be found on almost every existing PDAs are the Palm and Pocket PC.
I can say that I’m very pleased with the features of my pocket pc.
It has a Datebook, which is the most important part of the organizer, where I can write down my appointments and important meetings, just as I would do in a normal day planner. The Memo Pad feature is the place to keep notes, or even write a book, if I ever feel like it! For math and stuff I have a calculator on my pocket pc, and a To-Do List in order to help me you accomplish the nagging tasks during a day at work. Important contacts can be stored in the Address Book and the On Screen Keyboard allows me to type with the touch screen or better yet, with the stylus. If you wish to handwrite instead of type, the Grafitti on a Palm and the Character Recognizer on a Pocket PC will be worth millions. The Email feature lets you compose email and send on HotSync or wireless.
Even though pocket pc's can be a little intimidating for the people who are not used with a computer, they are very important helpers for the people who have at least once jotted a note on a napkin or carried a planner, and if this is not enough for you, look at the entertainment part of such a device. There are millions of games that can be played on a PDA and the advantage of this is that you can enjoy them anywhere you may go!
I hope my personal experience has shed at least a bit of light on this problem. Be patient and investigate the selling sites and stores before deciding on a particular one. It’s better to be safe than sorry, as the saying tells. You can spend a lot of money on a powerful pocket pc, or you can be easily fooled by a seller that just wants to get himself a better pocket pc!
