Two Cool Ice Cream Desserts For Those Hot Summer Days
Watermelon Shaped Ice Cream Desert

Summer is here and everyone likes the idea of ice cream. If you are throwing a dinner party or just having some friends over for dinner, you will amaze them when you bring out this ice cream dessert. It looks like a watermelon, even when you slice it. It even has the 'seeds'. It is easy to make and so impressive.

Ingredients

Lime Sherbet, softened Raspberry Sherbet, softened. Or you can use cherry or strawberry. It just needs to be red. mini chocolate chips

Line a large mixing bowl with the softened Lime Sherbet. Mix the chocolate chips with the raspberry sherbet and fill in the rest of the bowl. Refreeze. Turn upside down onto a large plate of cake server. Use a warm towel on the bottom of the bowl to help the ice cream release. Slice the "watermelon" and serve. When served, each piece will look like a slice of watermelon and taste yummy, too."

Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt Smoothie

This is a nice treat on a hot day. You can use milk or juice, but I think the milk tastes much better. It is cool and refreshing and your family will love it.

In this recipe I mention the Quick Chef. This is what I use. It is a Tupperware product and I prefer it to a food processor or blender because it is much more portable and easier to clean. However, if you don't have a Quick Chef and aren't interested in buying one, try the recipe in your food processor or blender.

If you don't have Tupperware's Cinnamon-Vanilla spice, I recommend you try using 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and a 1/4 tsp vanilla.

2 to 3 scoops of ice cream or frozen yogurt, softened
Fresh or canned fruit of your choice
1/4 tsp cinnamon-vanilla spice
1 cup milk or juice

Combine all ingredients into the Quick Chef mixer. Mix until well blended. Add more milk or juice if you prefer a shake rather than a smoothie. Pour into your favorite tumblers and enjoy. Donna has an MBA in information technology and is currently a Tupperware Director and CEO of her own company.
