Acala Dvd Copy Reviewed
My review of the software is favourable. The program is small in size and very easy to install and register.

It has a 3 copy trial period in which the user is able to try and evaluate the software and then make an informed decision weather to purchase or not.

During the trial period all functions operate, it is not a limited options trial period like so many other software products today.

This is one of the easiest programs of its kind to configure and operate, thus making it a perfect product for the novice computer user or someone new to DVD backups.

Buy choosing a few simple options and then clicking the start button you are backing up your first DVD in under a minute. Now how much easier can it get for the novice user?

In my testing of the software I found the authoring process to be very fast in comparison to some programs. The program uses VSO's CopyToDVD burning engine which is a proven burn engine in today’s world of burning software.

There is no need to adjust the burn speed as the program does it automatically based on the abilities of the optical drive being used it's firmware and the capabilities of the media.

Some may say the program is basic and lacks a lot of options such as splitting movies to 2 discs’ or being able to choose which title sets to include with the backup. I urge anyone who needs or wants different or more options to have a look at the other software products available from Acala.

Pros

- The options and layout of the program are very easy for even beginners to master in just a few minutes.

- The authoring and burn process are as fast or at least comparable to any other products available today.

- The video quality is as good as any other 1Click product of this kind.

- The author of the program is very open to feedback and always responds to email in a very reasonable time.

- The program has a built in decrypter so no need to purchase additional decrypting software.

- At just $39.95 (USD) it is very affordable.

Cons

- With one of the new releases, the decrypter was unable to do its job properly. However using AnyDVD
I ripped the files to the hard drive first and then using those files as the source, resulted in a perfect working copy.

- I had one failure when making a Dual Layer copy of a very long movie. No matter what standalone DVD player I use I Always get a, Dirty Disc error.

In my opinion this is a great piece of software for those not wanting or needing all the bells and whistles available in some software packages.

As stated earlier, a very easy to use program for those with no experience backing up there DVD collection. Enabling them the ability to backup DVD movies with easy, and the finished products quality is very good!

This program should please anyone looking for a well put together and easy to use DVD Backup solution. Joel is forum moderator and DVD software fun. Get more information and download Acala DVD Copy from Download3000.com
