Headsets are a pair of transducers which receive electric signals and convert them to sound. To start with its usage in the office is very good. It saves space, especially the wireless models. In some places people use hand phones for a long time, there head set will be of great use. They allow privacy in a room full of people with computers mixing tracks. It is advisable to use headphones in place where many people work together.
Headphones which reduce noise is called Noise cancellation headphones. It reduces all the sounds that are unwanted. Generally, this is to use electric circuitry, which generates noise reduction signals. These headphones cancel out any unwanted sounds using the phenomena of destructive interference.
This type of headphones is very popular in airlines where passengers can sleep easily without any issues. The most popular head phone in this category is the Bose headphones. However, these headphones require battery backup, and are more effective when the sound is continuous, like a hum. Traditional headphones are not so bulky as these headphones are.
The electronics that reduce the additional noise are in fact behind the microphone; they take the noise from there, and then invert it before adding to the normal real audio signal. Active Noise cancellation is another method of noise cancellation where waveforms are produced to cancel the noises.
