The recently launched (23 June) website, My minute in time now sports a new homepage packed with extra features including a dating facility called ‘time to spare and time to share’ and free ‘remarkable moment’ blogs, in which people can share their best and worst moments, their most embarrassing moments and the like, as well as the moments they most regret with the chance to say ‘Sorry’.
To buy a unique minute in time on the site, with an associated personal web page, costs just £5.99 (US$10.99). This minute then belongs exclusively to the purchaser for ever and their page can be edited as often and as many times as they wish. The page can include up to four pictures each with a files size of less than 1MB. Another new attraction, costing a further £9.99 (US$19), is the facility to feature a favourite picture on the homepage for 24 hours, with a direct link to the purchaser’s own page. This makes a great gift for a loved one, for example to wish them a happy birthday or, to congratulate them or, simply to say ‘I love you’ on a special day. These slots must be booked at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability. My minute in time was designed to allow people to buy their own time capsules on the Internet in order to record memorable moments for all time. The minutes they buy might be for sporting or academic achievements, the birth of children, meeting the love of their life, having the idea that changed their life, or, any other precious personal moments like great events and memorable holidays. Purchasers have the option
to keep their pages private or, to make them public. A certificate stamped with the date and the minute purchased can be printed off the site, and this is ideal for popping into a greetings card as a commemorative gift
